Our Founder, Katie Wilkins

Originally from Madison, WI, Katie ventured to Seattle in 2005 to pursue her passion for photography. Graduating in 2008, she started her own event, stock, and advertising photography business. As her business thrived, she discovered her love for advertising and marketing, eventually leading her to offer her expertise to other companies.

Bringing It All Back Home

After honing her skills in Seattle, Katie decided to return to Madison to be closer to her family. Working as the Marketing Manager for Badger Bus for several years, she gained valuable experience in various industries. As a single mom, she realized the importance of creating a working culture that supports the balance between career and family.

Named after the construction term meaning "to support a structure from below," Underpin Media represents Katie's vision of creating a company that provides solid support for businesses and employees alike. Her dream is to foster a work environment where everyone feels valued, and can find a true work/life balance to create a sustainable living for themselves and their children.
